Performance Analysis & Audits

Mature assets are being worked harder and operations teams need to mange the performance and manage the wear and degradation of systems. We can assist with this by undertaking Performance Analysis and Performance Audits which aim to quantify the current system performance as a percentage (the equivalent of ‘Efficiency’) of their original design and as a percentage of the necessary duty.

In complex system such as those offshore or process plants, the only effective method of achieving this is to use a model based technique because that can use any operating data and accurately extrapolate to other conditions.

Performance Audits

Audits are best done at regular intervals so that the degradation can be observed as a trend (similar to condition monitoring of rotating equipment). This can allow sophisticated planning for maintenance and replacement. Targeting replacement only when the performance has dropped below the necessary levels.

Performance Analysis

This service allows operators and management teams to identify the cause of underperformance. We use the SCADA/DCS data and combine that with the simulation models to locate the precise cause of underperformance.
