Simulation Audits
A periodic comparison of the output from a Pipeline Simulation model against data measured from an operating system delivers a powerful audit of both steady and transient performance.
We have used these to determine pipe roughness and plan rehabilitation and pigging; whilst auditing valves, pumps and compressor/expanders has shown serious difference in performance between site and design and significantly aided maintenance.
We have seen systems where the pump performance has been severely reduced, where valve oscillations have been damaging the pipe supports and where planned shutdown events have impaired the integrity. All of these could have been identified by a planned Audit.
